Services

At Net Gain Ecology, our team of experienced ecologists and environmental specialists are equipped to handle various ecological challenges. We offer a diverse range of expertise, including protected species surveys, ecological mitigation design, and habitat restoration strategies.

Preliminary Ecological Assessment (PEA)

A Preliminary Ecological Assessment (PEA) is the first step in evaluating the ecological value of a site and identifying any potential environmental constraints.

It provides an overview of existing habitats, protected species, and key ecological considerations that may impact planning applications or land development projects

Protected Species Surveys

Certain wildlife species in the UK, including bats, great crested newts, badgers, birds, reptiles, otters, and dormice, are legally protected.

If a development may impact these species, a Protected Species Survey is required for planning approval.

Our expert ecologists conduct surveys, provide mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with UK wildlife laws. Get in touch to discuss your survey needs.

Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW)

An Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) ensures that construction and development projects comply with environmental regulations and mitigate ecological impacts.

Our ECoW services include onsite ecological monitoring, protected species supervision, habitat management, and compliance reporting to help projects proceed sustainably and legally.
